Monki, part of the H&M Group, blends Scandinavian cool with bold street style. Tmall, Alibaba’s massive online marketplace, is one of the biggest shopping platforms in China. Being part of Monki’s Tmall team during its second year on the platform was an exciting challenge, giving me the chance to shape the brand’s digital presence in a fast-moving and competitive space.
My role focused on designing campaign layouts and start pages, making sure Monki’s unique style connected with the Chinese audience. But it wasn’t just about the visuals—it was about creating an engaging and seamless shopping experience that still felt true to the brand.
Working with Monki’s HQ marketing team, I acted as the link between the brand’s global vision and Tmall’s specific needs. Succeeding in this fast-paced environment required creativity, adaptability, and an understanding of both brand storytelling and local market trends. Looking back, it was a rewarding experience that sharpened my skills in digital design, e-commerce strategy, and cross-cultural marketing.
